Day 1. Arrival at Cadaqués
Arrival at Girona or Figueres and transfer to Cadaqués. Welcome meeting with our guide. We will hold the orientation session, where your bike will be specially fitted for you and you will be presented with all the documentation and tools you will need for your trip. After the session you will have time to visit the old town centre, its beaches and many art galleries.
Day 2. Cadaqués and Cap de Creus Natural Park
Cadaqués – Cadaqués
Distance: 20km
Cadaqués is considered one of the most beautiful villages of the Costa Brava, shiny diamond of the Meditterranean Coast. Today you will be cycling in the lunar landscape of Cap de Creus. The road takes you to the heart of Cap de Creus Natural Park to reach the lighthouse, from where you have great views of the rocky relief of the Costa Brava. Before arriving back at Cadaqués, we highly recommend to stop at Dali’s house in Portlligat*, now a museum dedicated to the lesser known work of the surrealist painter. Night in Cadaqués.
* Dali’s museum Portlligat – entrance with previous reservation
Day 3. From the vineyards to the sea
Cadaqués – Sant Pere Pescador
Distance: 36km
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Vilaminscle or Sant Pere de Rodes, with stunning views over the vinyeards, cork oak forests and bay of Roses, you will cycle in the peace and quiet of the surroundings of Vilamaniscle, through the fantastic village of Peralada with its castles and wine tradition, the inland of Costa Brava, passing through Castello d'Empuries to finally arrive at the coastal village of Sant Pere Pescador. A delightful and very varied route.
Day 4. Crossing el Montgrí
Sant Pere Pescador - L’Estartit
Distance: 30km
We will leave Sant Pere to look for the cycling path near the coast. Along it, you will find the most important Greco-Roman site of the Iberian Peninsula (Empúries Ruins), which is well worth a visit. From here, we will leave the coast biking along the fields of crops and fruit orchards. We will roll along the Massif of Montgrí, to arrive to L’Estartit, located at the sea in front of its natural reserve of the Medes Islands.
Day 5. Medieval villages
L’Estartit – Calella de Palafrugell
Distance: 50km
Once you leave L’Estartit, you will go to the inland of Baix Empordà. You can visit beautiful medieval villages, like Peratallada or Ullastret and you will pass along a huge variety of landscapes to arrive at the fantastic historical site of Pals. Your last stop is Calella de Palafrugell, one of the most stunning coastal villages of Spain.
Day 6. Fishermen villages
Calella Palafrugell – Palamós – Calella de Palafrugell

We leave Calella biking along the biking path known as “ the Little Train trail”, as it was an old railway. From Palamos we continue along the sea, passing some really fantastic little creeks such as La Fosca and Es Castell. Relax and explore the surroundings before you head back along the virtually flat cycle path to Calella de Palafrugell.

TRANSPORT INFORMATION
With its airport and train station, Barcelona is the easiest way to travel to Catalonia. Gerona airport is a good alternative.
There is a direct bus from Barcelona Airport to Palafrugell (www.compras.moventis.es). The same bus service continues to l'Escala. There is also the regional train (R11) which has a good connection from the Barcelona Sants train station to the train station of Gerona and Figueres.
